Marie ROUYER started seriously singing at the age of 19, in 1999, meeting at the same time her first metal band and her first lyrical singing teacher, soloist at Lyon's Opera. She let aside her theater actress activities that led her to play many prestigious roles during 10 years (Antigone - Sophocle - at "Fédérés de MontLuçon", Catherine in "Mutter Courage" - Bertold Brecht in Lyon, ...) and to learn taming the stage. She quickly found a position in an extreme symphonic metal band as co-leader and during 12 years, sung with them in many clubs and small venues in France to promote their music. Being extremely self-demanding, she continued lyrical singing lessons with several academic teachers to become professional. She gave her first lyrical singing concert in 2010. She also offered her voice to several bands of the french metal scene to help them with choirs and backing vocals. In 2008, she widened her vocal palette with growling techniques in concerts and studio sessions. She decided to leave her band in the second quarter of 2012 and developed her rock singing ability with Asphodel from Pin Up Went Down. She joined Whyzdom early 2013.
